COVID-19 Business Information and Resources

City staff has put together a list of resources for our business community. In addition to the resources provided, we advise residents and businesses to follow all recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as local advisories from the California Department of Public Health and the Orange County Health Care Agency

The County of Orange has established a COVID-19 Hotline for inquiries related to the pandemic: 1-833-426-6411

What businesses are allowed to re-open?

The Orange County Board of Supervisors and Health Care Agency approved the County to re-open additional sectors of economies. This follows as the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) releases new guidance. The County's Business Reopening Guidance page provides corresponding sectors with information on public health modifications they should implement prior to opening. A complete list of what businesses and facilities may and may not open can be found here

Effective immediately, the California Department of Public Health is requiring all bars and certain sectors of indoor business to close in counties that have been on their monitoring list for three consecutive days. The closures apply to Orange County, along with 18 other counties, due to the number of COVID-19 cases spreading at alarming rates. These closures will remain in place for at least three weeks and are subject to an extension. The graphic below lists the specific closures and affected counties. In Brea, we encourage all affected businesses to comply. All restaurants are required to stop offering inside, sit down service and can only offer outdoor and takeout service. Family entertainment centers, such as mini golf, can continue their outdoor service. Click here to visit the State’s website and learn more.
