The Brea Fire Department Suppression Division uses a 56-hour work week. Personnel work 24-hour shifts in a three platoon rotation. This division responds to:
- Fires
- Medical aids
- Rescues
- Public assists
- Releases or potential releases of hazardous materials
Member Training & Certifications
All members are trained and certified in CPR, EMT-D, hazardous materials first responder, swift water rescue, confined space rescue, and the Standardized Emergency Management System based on the Incident Command System.
