Recycling and Waste

With the numerous positive impacts recycling has on our environment and the community, the City of Brea values recycling and reusing materials with the goal of diverting them from the landfill. The City has contracted with Republic Services as the sole waste hauler for residents and businesses in the City. The Olinda Alpha Landfill, located in the City of Brea, is operated by Orange County Waste and Recycling (OCW&R). 

In the fall of 2012 Brea approved an additional Sustainability Planning document to help guide future efforts.

If you are new to sign up for for residential service or need to amend your existing residential service, contact the City's Administrative Services Department at 714-990-7687. For requests and questions related to commercial service, trash pick-up, bulky items, e-waste, or recycling, call Republic Services at 714-238-2444.
