Welcome Officer Lindsay Cruz

Posted on June 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. by johnb johnb

The Brea Police Department recently welcomed another new police officer to our department, Officer Lindsay Cruz. Officer Cruz graduated from the Fullerton College Police Academy on May 26. She was elected Class President by her classmates, and also received the award for best police report writing scores in the class. In fact, Officer Cruz was the first police academy recruit in Fullerton College history to score a perfect 100% on all police report tests during the academy.

Officer Cruz has previous experience in law enforcement as a Police Services Officer and Police Aide at the Buena Park and Fountain Valley Police Departments. She is also a former Police Explorer for the La Palma Police Department, rising to command that Explorer Post as Captain. She graduated from Kennedy High School in La Palma, where she was involved in varsity athletics and was an ASB officer. Officer Cruz comes from a law enforcement family. Her mother is a police officer for the Los Angeles Unified School Police Department, her sister is a Police Dispatcher for the La Palma PD, and her brother-in-law is a Police Officer for the Tustin PD.

Welcome to our family, Officer Cruz!
