Applications are now being accepted for the Brea Police Department's 18th Citizen Academy! The Citizen Academy in a 10-week informational series designed to give citizens an inside, in-depth look at the daily operations of the Brea Police Department. The program will meet every Wednesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and begins on January 9. The academy covers the history of the Brea Police Department, crime scenes, social media, SWAT team and much more. Students will also have an opportunity to go on a ride-along with a patrol officer. This is a great opportunity to get to know the women and men of the Brea Police Department, as well as the chance to meet other members of the Brea community. Register early, as class space is limited.
