Brea is partnering with the U.S. Census to help ensure a complete and accurate 2020 Census count of every individual living in the city. Please participate in completing the U.S. Census questionnaire by April 1, on behalf of yourself and every individual, including seniors, children, and infants, living in your household.
Mandated by the Constitution, the results of this once-a-decade population count are important to Brea. They help our community by:
• Determining how much federal funding Brea receives
• Affecting Brea’s representation in government
• Providing data to help plan for the City’s future
In early 2020, every household will receive a notice to complete the Census. This time, the Census is easier to complete than ever before through the use of online submission. Questionnaires may also be completed by phone or by mail. Your responses to the 2020 Census are safe, secure, and protected by federal law.
