Dear Curtis Theatre Patrons,
The health and safety of all of our supporters and artists is always of the utmost importance. Amid increasing concerns regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, state and local officials are recommending that public gatherings – especially those that put people in close proximity to each other – be canceled or postponed. It is for this reason that we have made the difficult decision to not move forward with Tea for Three: Lady Bird, Pat, & Betty.
We may find an opportunity to reschedule this delightful show for a later date. If that happens we will surely let you know.
While all of our rentals were canceled almost immediately, we did have the luxury of time to make a very difficult decision about canceling this incredible season performance. Unfortunately, it seems like the situation will not be improving enough in the foreseeable future to warrant the risk of holding a public event.
The Curtis Theatre is committed to all of its guest artists and performers. In keeping with that commitment, 100% of the ticket sale revenue that is not refunded will go directly to future endeavors to bring the highest quality entertainment to Brea. Patrons who purchased tickets to Tea for Three: Lady Bird, Pat, & Betty have a few options.
• Do nothing. The price of your ticket will benefit the Curtis Theatre.
• Donate. If you wish, we can send you a letter detailing the amount of your donation for tax deduction purposes.
• Receive a refund for the value of the ticket. All refunds MUST be requested by the scheduled date of the performance.
Please contact the Curtis Theatre box office during business hours 12pm – 3pm Tuesday – Friday. Due to a high call volume, length of wait time has increased dramatically. Please also feel free to email KristoferK@cityofbrea.net with how you would like us to handle your tickets, and you will be contacted with confirmation.
Please note that credits and refunds are only available for tickets purchased directly through The Curtis Theatre. The Curtis Theatre and The City of Brea are not responsible for the refund practices put in place by secondary ticket providers.
We appreciate the leadership of our public officials and will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves to ensure the health and well-being of our patrons, artists and staff. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate through these uncertain times. For updates on COVID-19 as it specifically relates to Brea, please check cityofbrea.net regularly.
Sincerely,
Kris Kataoka
Curtis Theatre Manager
