Keep our community safe by adhering to Brea’s ban on fireworks. The sale, use or discharge of all fireworks are prohibited, even the “safe and sane” variety sold in other cities. Violators face a fine of up to $1000. Fireworks are dangerous and can be harmful to you, your property and your pets. Did you know, that according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, an average of 280 people go to the emergency room each day in the month surrounding the July 4th holiday? Additionally, fireworks pose a serious fire hazard. Sparks from fireworks can travel to nearby homes or brush and ignite a fire. Please celebrate Independence Day safely by following the fireworks prohibition.
If you are able to identify an exact location of someone using fireworks, please report it by calling the Brea Police Department’s non-emergency line at 714-990-7911. Thank you for your cooperation and patience as the Brea Fire and Police Departments prioritize such calls during the busy Fourth of July holiday period.
