As part of the 57/Lambert Interchange Improvement project, there will be a full closure of the 57 Freeway at Lambert Rd this Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. The two-night closure is to accommodate Southern California Edison removing and replacing their overhead power lines crossing the freeway. This scheduled work requires the full freeway closure from Imperial Hwy to Lambert Rd in both directions, a Lambert Rd Eastbound lane closure, and a closure of the Southbound on-ramp and North Bound off-ramp. The 57/Lambert Interchange Improvement project is a multi-year, large-scale construction project. Once completed, the improvements will provide additional capacity, better traffic flow, enhanced safety, and reduced congestion and delays.
