[ARCHIVED] Overnight Closure of 57 Fwy at Lambert Rd This Weekend

As part of the 57/Lambert Interchange Improvement project, there will be a full closure of the 57 Freeway at Lambert Rd this Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. The two-night closure is to accommodate Southern California Edison removing and replacing their overhead power lines crossing the freeway. This scheduled work requires the full freeway closure from Imperial Hwy to Lambert Rd in both directions, a Lambert Rd Eastbound lane closure, and a closure of the Southbound on-ramp and Northbound off-ramp. Detours will be available on Imperial Hwy and Brea Canyon Road. A detour map is available to view below.

The 57/Lambert Interchange Improvement project is a multi-year, large-scale construction project. Once completed, the improvements will provide additional capacity, better traffic flow, enhanced safety, and reduced congestion and delays. Caltrans is the lead agency for this project and is responsible for all aspects of construction management. For more information on this project, visit
