Series #1 – Acrylic Still Life; Course #: 10176
Tuesdays, April 1 and 8, 6:30 - 9:30 pm
Working from life or from a reference of your own, you’ll draw and paint an arrangement of objects, emphasizing the utilization of contrast and warm and cool colors to add dimension and depth.
Salem Cade received her Master of Fine Arts in painting and drawing from Laguna College of Art & Design. She now teaches drawing and painting at Mt. San Jacinto College and offers private instruction for children and adults. Salem's current body of work explores figurative and still life subjects in paint, pastel and charcoal. In this brand new workshop, you will learn to paint from life by using a selection of available items consisting of various shapes, sizes, materials, and textures. The class will take place in the Gallery on two consecutive Tuesday evenings. All materials, supplies and canvas are included in the registration fee; all you have to do is show up and enjoy being creative! The acrylic paints used in the class are safe, non-toxic, and easy to use. All skill levels are welcome. Bring an art smock or apron you don’t mind getting paint on.
