[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Work to Help City Get Ready for Summer Activities

Children, teenagers and adults worked at City Hall Park on Brea Blvd. and the Brea Maintenance Yard on Berry Street to help city staff get ready for summer programs and events. Mayor Murdock and Mayor Pro Tem Christine Marick were also on hand to help out.

Part of the City Hall Park team painted the fence and columns at the Brea Plunge and the Rose Garden Trellis and gazebo at City Hall Park. Other workers weeded the park and added new wood chips around the playground improving the area for summer activities.

The Maintenance Yard group painted 320 posts and other materials used to create the fair booths for the Brea’s annual July 4th Country Fair.
