Join instructor Miles Lewis next Saturday, August 16th from 10:00am until 3:30pm to learn the art of monotype printmaking! In the class, Monotype: A Painter’s Bridge to Printmaking, students will receive a thorough introduction to the technique of monotype. Monotype printmaking involves the creation of unique prints that combine the techniques of painting, drawing, and collage, while introducing the specific and often unpredictable quality of pressure. Through technical examples, a historical discussion of the monotype form, and a tour of the concurrent print show, students will develop a powerful sense of how their work might continue to translate through print. Miles Lewis is a member of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society and teaches and works at Valley Print Studio in Woodland Hills, CA.
Cost: $75: All supplies are included in the fee, no previous printmaking experience is required to enjoy this class.
