In addition to this weekend's SR-57 and Lambert closures, Caltrans also announced a maintenance project along SR-90, known as Imperial Highway. Construction work is projected for Fall of 2017. However, beginning this month, preliminary site samples may be bored near some businesses along the route.
Finally, a traffic study is underway on the east side of town to address traffic concerns at Santa Fe Road and Carbon Canyon Road, which is also a State Highway. This is being done in concert with the Olinda Ranch and Blackstone Home Owners Associations. To facilitate this evaluation there is a 30-day suspension of the left turn restrictions. Signs will be covered through Thursday, July 23, to collect the needed traffic volume counts.
