The November 8, 2016, General Municipal Election Nomination Period ends this Friday, August 12, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.
Brea City Hall is closed August 12. However, since August 12 is the last day of the filing period, the City Clerk will be available from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The nomination period for people interested in serving on the City Council is open and runs through August 12. Two (2) City Council seats, filled by Christine Marick and Marty Simonoff and one (1) City Treasurer seat filled by Rick Rios will be open in the November 8, 2016 election. Applicants must be a registered voter, Brea resident, and must file nomination papers by 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2016. If any of the incumbents fail to file papers by the deadline, the filing period will extend through 5:30 p.m. on August 17, 2016.
